Brazil’s Valorização de Resíduos makes $43m deal for biomethane plant
Brazil’s Orizon Valorização de Resíduos has agreed a US$43 million (€41.7 million) financing deal with Banco do Nordeste do Brasil (BNB) to construct a biomethane plant, reported BN Americas.
The plant, which will be located in Pernambuco state, is in the advanced construction stage.
With a capacity of 130,000m3/d and the company has a contract with Copergás - Pernambuco's gas distributor - for 60,000m3/d of the amount.
The gas will come from Orizon’s local eco-park, where it currently uses landfill-derived biogas to generate electricity.
