Anaergia has started activities on new project contracts worth approximately C$25 million for two anaerobic digestion facilities in Spain, marking the second and third projects under a broader C$184 million agreement announced in August 2025.

Through its Italian subsidiary, Anaergia has been awarded contracts for the Andújar and Arjona projects by D.B. Andalucía, a special purpose company developing renewable energy projects in Spain.

The contracts form part of a previously disclosed agreement under which Anaergia will provide a comprehensive suite of services and deploy its proprietary technology to support the construction of more than 15 anaerobic digestion plants across Spain. The overall agreement is valued at approximately C$184 million.

Both facilities are designed to convert waste from olive oil production into renewable biomethane and are expected to be completed within 18 months. Anaergia anticipates generating combined revenue of around C$25 million from the two projects.

Each plant will process approximately 100,000 tonnes of olive pomace per year, transforming agricultural waste into a sustainable energy source.

“Each of these new facilities will convert approximately 100,000 tonnes per year of olive pomace into biomethane, highlighting the vital role of Infinitum in the production of sustainable energy,” said Alfonso De Gonzalo, Chairman of D.B. Andalucía. “These projects reflect our ongoing commitment to promoting the widespread adoption of clean and sustainable fuels.”

Assaf Onn, Chief Executive Officer of Anaergia, said the new contracts further strengthen the company’s position in the renewable energy sector. “Anaergia is increasingly recognised as a leader in the global transition towards sustainable energy solutions. Delivering these plants represents an important step as we leverage our industry-leading solutions to help advance a cleaner, greener future.”
