Companies sign strategic agreement for biomass testing services

Inspection company USFGIS and Twin Ports Testing have signed a strategic agreement to jointly enter the biomass market.

Jane Vogt, USFGIS VP, says: 'By combining the strengths of both companies we create a single source solution for inspection and testing services to the biomass industry in a highly efficient way.'

Twin Ports Testing has been involved in the wood pellet industry since the early 1980s. An active member of the Pellet Fuel Institute, the company has been involved in developing the North American Standards for Pelletised/Densified Commercial and Residential Fuel as well as QA/QC procedures.

'We have a solid understanding of how pellet mills work, and how your analysis values may affect the proper functioning of a pellet burning appliance. By working together with USFGIS we are now able to combine their inspection services expertise with our expertise in testing and consulting, an added value for our customers,' says Stephen Sundeen, chemistry laboratory manager at Twin Ports Testing.
