FABbiogas Final Conference & Biomethane Workshop

The European Biogas Association (EBA) is organising two events taking place in Brussels in early September.

On 2 September, the FABbiogas Project will hold its Final Conference at the historical Royal Flemish Academy of Belgium for Sciences and Arts (which co-organises the event).

Since its introduction in 2013, the EU co-funded project aims at changing the mindsets of all stakeholders in the waste-to-energy chain by promoting residues from the food and beverages (FAB) industries as a new and renewable energy source for biogas production.

The Final Conference will tackle issues such as an overview of biogas production and potential of FAB industries, the national situation of the participating countries, and the presentation of evaluation tools and feasibility studies. Participants are all welcomed to join the conference, which has no registration fee.

On 3 September, EBA will host its workshop 'Future of biomethane production – will cross-border trade be feasible?'

Taking place at the Renewable Energy House, participants can register for a fee of €50 in order to cover organisational expenses. EBA members can benefit from a reduced fee of €25 and are invited to join a policy meeting right after the workshop. Due to room limitations, there are currently only a few places left.

More information on both events as well as how to register is available here.
