Joint agreement signed for Spanish biogas plants

The start-up created by Spanish pipeline company Enagás, BioEnGas, announced that it has signed an agreement with independent investment manager Suma Capital to develop biogas from efficient waste recovery.

According to the release, the objective of the joint agreement is to develop and construct a group of biogas plants in Spain.

Over ten projects in various locations are being analysed, with the possible construction of some over the next couple of months.

BioEnGas came into existence through the Enagás Open Innovation and Corporate Entrepreneurship Programme, Enagás Emprende. This programme has led to the establishment of seven start-ups since March 2016, generating 158 jobs.
